The Braves are hiring Johnny Washington as their minor league hitting coordinator, following his tenure as the Angels’ hitting coach. Washington, with three years of MLB coaching experience, previously worked with the Padres and in Korea before joining the Angels, where the team struggled with on-base percentage and strikeouts despite strong power numbers. The Angels have since replaced Ron Washington with Kurt Suzuki, who has revamped the coaching staff, including hiring Brady Anderson as hitting coach.
