Panthers general manager Dan Morgan announced that the team will exercise Bryce Young’s fifth-year option, extending his contract through 2027 with a guaranteed $26.5 million. Young, who has shown promising performance despite team inconsistencies, set career highs in passing yards (3,011) and touchdowns (23) this season. While eligible for a contract extension, Morgan indicated that a long-term deal this offseason is uncertain. Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 draft, has a 14-30 record in 44 starts.
