With center Noah Laba returning to the lineup, the Rangers have reassigned center Justin Dowling to AHL Hartford, opening a roster spot. Dowling, who joined the Rangers earlier this month due to injuries, played two games without scoring, totaling just over 14 minutes of ice time. Having previously played a career-high 52 games with New Jersey last season, he signed a two-year deal with the Rangers this summer. Dowling has performed well in Hartford, recording five goals and 11 assists in 24 games, aiming for another NHL recall soon.
