In a recent episode of Insider Trading, Darren Dreger discussed Nazem Kadri’s situation with the Calgary Flames, noting that while Kadri enjoys his time in Calgary, he is open to a trade to a contender. With four years left on his $7MM contract and a modified no-trade clause, Kadri could be moved to 18 teams. Despite his first-line role, he is better suited as a second-line center, and several competitive teams, including the Minnesota Wild and Carolina Hurricanes, might pursue him. The Flames could receive a significant return if they choose to trade him, as his value remains stable with his contract extending through the 2028-29 season.
