The Chicago Cubs have acquired right-hander Edward Cabrera from the Miami Marlins, marking their first major offseason move. In exchange, the Cubs will send outfielder Owen Caissie and infield prospects Cristian Hernandez and Edgardo De Leon to Miami. Cabrera, who posted an 8-7 record with a 3.53 ERA last season, strengthens the Cubs’ rotation while the Marlins gain a potential starting outfielder in Caissie. Additionally, the Cubs claimed left-hander Ryan Rolison off waivers from the White Sox.
