Don Mattingly has been hired as the Philadelphia Phillies’ new bench coach, replacing Mike Calitri, who has taken on a role as a major-league field coordinator. Mattingly previously served as the bench coach and offensive coordinator for the Toronto Blue Jays, helping them reach the 2025 World Series. With managerial experience from his time with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Miami Marlins, he aims to support Phillies manager Rob Thomson. The Phillies finished last season with a 96-66 record, making the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year.
