New Orleans missed the initial bidding deadline for the 2031 Super Bowl due to a lease issue but has received a second chance from the NFL. Following a productive meeting between Saints owner Gayle Benson, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry, and Commissioner Roger Goodell, New Orleans is now in consideration to host the event. The city has previously held 11 Super Bowls and would only experience a six-year gap since its last hosting if awarded the 2031 game. Upcoming Super Bowls are set for San Francisco (2026), L.A. (2027), Atlanta (2028), with Las Vegas and Nashville favored for 2029 and 2030, respectively.
