Linebacker Eric Kendricks steps in as the 49ers’ middle linebacker, replacing Tatum Bethune, who is out for the season due to injury. With Fred Warner also sidelined, Kendricks, who joined the practice squad in late November after a brief retirement, brings experience from his ten years with the Vikings and recent stints with the Chargers and Cowboys. Coach Kyle Shanahan praised Kendricks for his performance in recent games. Kendricks will start in the upcoming playoff game against the Eagles, marking his second playoff appearance since the 2020 season.
