The Colts struggled in the 2025 season, losing eight of their last nine games, but team owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon emphasized the importance of their strong 7-1 start. At a press conference, she confirmed the retention of General Manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen, citing their potential to replicate early-season success despite injuries to key players. Irsay-Gordon stressed the urgent need for improvement and results, stating that both leaders are capable of facing the upcoming challenges. Steichen holds a 25-26 record in three seasons, while Ballard’s tenure has seen the team at 70-78-1 since 2017.
