Kansas City Royals manager Matt Quatraro has signed a three-year contract extension through 2029, which includes a team option for 2030. Since taking over after the 2022 season, Quatraro has guided the team to a 224-262 record, with a notable improvement from 56-106 in his first year to 86-76 in 2024, marking the Royals’ first consecutive winning seasons since 2013-15. He finished second in the 2024 AL Manager of the Year voting to Cleveland’s Stephen Vogt.
