The Toronto Blue Jays have finalized a deal with Japanese infielder Kazuma Okamoto, as reported by ESPN’s Jeff Passan. Although the terms of the agreement are not disclosed, Okamoto was a standout player last season, boasting a .327/.416/.598 batting line with 15 home runs and 49 RBIs in 69 games for the Yomiuri Giants. Over 11 seasons, the 29-year-old accumulated a .277/.361/.521 slash line, hitting 248 homers and driving in 717 runs. Prior to joining the Blue Jays, he had been linked to multiple MLB teams, including the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels.
