New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox returned to the lineup against the Capitals after a month-long absence due to an upper-body injury sustained on October 29. Fox, who had been on long-term injured reserve after a check against the Lightning, was tied for the team lead in points with three goals and 23 assists in 27 games prior to his injury. To accommodate his return, the Rangers assigned young defenseman Scott Morrow to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack.
