Real Madrid consider seeking multi-million compensation from Barcelona over ‘Negreira Case’
Real Madrid is escalating its legal actions against FC Barcelona regarding the Negreira case, aiming to seek substantial compensation for damages linked to payments made to former referee official Negreira. Following Barcelona’s reconciliation with UEFA, Madrid’s lawyer has interrogated Barcelona president Joan Laporta and requested financial documents from 2010 to 2018. Allegations include inconsistencies in testimonies from Barcelona executives about the €8.4 million payment. The ongoing investigation, which was recently extended, indicates a deepening rivalry as both clubs prepare for further confrontations.
