Colts head coach Shane Steichen announced that defensive tackle DeForest Buckner has been placed on injured reserve due to an aggravated neck injury and will undergo surgery. This setback comes just four days after Buckner returned from a previous injury, having missed games since early November. The former first-round pick, who has recorded 47 tackles and four sacks this season, was in the final year of a lucrative contract with the Colts. Buckner was initially traded to Indianapolis from the 49ers in 2020.
