The San Jose Sharks have assigned winger Ethan Cardwell to AHL San Jose amid a roster freeze, following his recent recall due to injuries to teammates Will Smith and Philipp Kurashev. In his latest stint, Cardwell played three games, totaling seven for the season, but struggled defensively in his last game against Vegas, finishing with no points. He has primarily played with the Barracuda this season, recording three goals and six assists in 14 games. This move leaves the Sharks with one open roster spot, which they can fill soon or use for Kurashev’s potential return.
