Jeff McNeil has been traded from the Mets to the A’s, concluding his time in New York. In return, the Mets receive 17-year-old pitching prospect Yordan Rodriguez. A’s GM David Frost believes McNeil’s experience will benefit their young roster, where he is expected to play everyday second base. McNeil, a versatile player, leaves the Mets with a .284 batting average, 80 home runs, and 367 RBIs over his career.
