A Liverpool man, Mark Mogan, 47, has pleaded not guilty to racially aggravated disorderly behaviour towards Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo during a Premier League match at Anfield on August 15. The incident prompted the match referee to pause the game and eject a spectator. Mogan’s trial is set for April 22, 2024, and he is prohibited from contacting Semenyo or attending football grounds as part of his bail conditions. Liverpool FC and the Football Association have condemned the alleged racism.
