Arsenal loanee wins international footballer of the year award
Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein has been named Estonia’s men’s footballer of the year for 2025, receiving the award after a strong performance with the national team. Currently on loan at Werder Bremen, he garnered 214 points and 61 first-place votes from a survey by the Estonian Football Journalists’ Club and the Estonian Football Association. Despite limited play at Werder Bremen, Hein’s contributions to the national team in 2025 were significant. Arsenal may need to reassess his loan situation in January to maintain his momentum for future awards.
