The Women’s National Basketball Players Association has proposed that players receive 30% of the total league and team revenue, a significant increase from the less than 15% currently offered. Their proposal includes a salary cap calculated from the previous season’s revenue, with players also set to receive 29% of gross revenue, increasing by 1% each season. The WNBA recently rejected a proposal for players to receive 33% of total revenue. The current collective bargaining agreement expires on January 9.
