The Chunichi Dragons of Nippon Professional Baseball are nearing a one-year deal with slugger Miguel Sanó, pending a physical. Sanó, who has not played in the MLB since being released by the Angels in July 2024, excelled in winter ball with a .315/.376/.663 line and nine homers in 24 games. A former All-Star, he has a career .233/.325/.477 line with 164 home runs, facing challenges with injuries and strikeouts in recent years. This marks his first professional opportunity in Asia.
