ESPN’s Pat McAfee reports that the Indianapolis Colts are expected to announce a deal with 44-year-old QB Philip Rivers, who recently worked out for the team, as a potential solution to their quarterback issues following Daniel Jones’ surgery for a torn Achilles. Rivers, a former first-round pick and Hall of Fame semifinalist, previously played for the Colts in 2020 and has familiarity with head coach Shane Steichen’s system.
