Kirill Marchenko scored the lone goal for the Columbus Blue Jackets, who fell 5-1 to the Calgary Flames after conceding two quick goals in the first minute and a half. Despite controlling much of the play and outshooting Calgary, the Jackets struggled to overcome the early deficit, with Jet Greaves allowing four goals and the Flames sealing the win with an empty net goal.
