The New Orleans Pelicans have appointed Mike Hopkins as an assistant coach and head of player development, following his previous season with the Suns and tenure as head coach at Washington from 2017 to 2024. Hopkins previously worked with the Pelicans’ Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations, Troy Weaver, on the 2003 Syracuse team that won the national championship.
