The New York Yankees have signed Kenta Maeda to a minor-league contract to bolster their starting pitching depth after releasing Marcus Stroman. The 37-year-old right-hander, who struggled with a 6.09 ERA for the Detroit Tigers and was recently released by the Chicago Cubs, has a career ERA of 4.20 and previously had success with the Dodgers and Twins.
