The Diamondbacks have signed reliever Matt Foster to a minor league contract, as announced by their Triple-A club in Reno. Foster, 30, recently excelled in Mexico, allowing just two runs over 13 2/3 innings, with 13 strikeouts and no walks. The D-Backs, facing significant bullpen injuries to players like Justin Martinez and A.J. Puk, are Foster’s second MLB organization after his time with the White Sox, where he had a standout 2020 season before undergoing Tommy John surgery in early 2023.
