The Ducks and Rangers are in “advanced discussions” to trade winger Chris Kreider to Anaheim, with New York set to receive prospect Carey Terrance and a pick in return, without retaining Kreider’s $6.5MM cap hit. Kreider, who has spent his entire 13-year NHL career with the Rangers, had a challenging season due to injuries, scoring 22 goals and 30 points in 68 games, but remains a consistent scoring threat. The move aims to provide the Rangers with salary cap flexibility while giving Kreider a chance to rebound with a younger Ducks team.
