Detroit Tigers pitcher Jackson Jobe will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, as announced by the team. The surgery, performed by Dr. Keith Meister, follows Jobe’s placement on the 15-day injured list due to a Grade 1 right flexor strain after his May 28 outing, where a UCL injury was also discovered. The 22-year-old rookie, who posted a 4-1 record with a 4.22 ERA in 10 starts, was selected third overall in the 2021 draft and is currently the Tigers’ third-ranked prospect for 2024.
