Hall of Fame coach Don Nelson was honored with the 2025 Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Basketball Coaches Association on Sunday. Nelson, who retired in 2010 and coached Stephen Curry in his rookie season, is notable for being the only coach with at least 250 wins across three franchises, and he ranks second all-time in wins (1,335) and games coached (2,398). Expressing gratitude for the award, Nelson acknowledged his friendship with Chuck Daly and the significant influence Daly had on his coaching style and philosophy.
