The Pittsburgh Steelers have renewed discussions about trading for Dolphins tight end Jonnu Smith, despite earlier reports suggesting they weren’t expected to pursue him. Smith, who had a standout 2024 season with 88 catches for 884 yards and eight touchdowns, is seeking to restructure his current contract of $4.8 million, as he will become a free agent in March. While Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel emphasizes Smith’s importance to their offense, the Steelers already have Pat Freiermuth as their primary tight end.
