Goaltender Ryan Fanti has signed a one-year, two-way NHL contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning after a strong performance in the minors, earning $775K at the NHL level and $80K in the AHL. Originally an Oilers prospect, Fanti struggled in the ECHL before joining Tampa Bay, where he posted a 2.71 GAA and .907 SV% in 37 ECHL games and a stellar 1.33 GAA and .950 SV% in six AHL games. He becomes the fifth goaltender under contract for the Lightning, competing for playing time with Brandon Halverson and Harrison Meneghin.
