Left tackle Trent Williams is the only veteran star absent from the 49ers’ voluntary Organized Team Activities, opting to work out at his Houston gym ahead of next month’s mandatory minicamp. Coach Kyle Shanahan noted that while Williams has been absent for a couple of weeks, he participated in the early stages of the offseason program, which is unusual for him. At 36, Williams did not make the Pro Bowl in 2024, marking the first time since 2011 he has not been selected in a season he played, after being limited to just 10 games last season due to an ankle injury.
