Mets prospect Nolan McLean made his fourth Triple-A start, earning a win as Syracuse defeated the Iowa Cubs, 4-2, in the second game of a doubleheader. McLean pitched 5.1 innings, allowing two earned runs, striking out five, and raising his Triple-A ERA to 2.31, while his overall ERA stands at 1.81 through nine starts. After a shaky start, McLean retired the last seven batters he faced, and the game turned in Syracuse’s favor with a two-run homer from Donovan Walton in the sixth inning.
