Frankie Montas made his debut for the Mets organization on Saturday, pitching 1.1 innings for Single-A Brooklyn as he continues to rehab from a right lat strain sustained in spring training. During the outing, Montas allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks, striking out one while throwing 37 pitches (20 strikes) against a target of 30-35 pitches. Both runs came in the first inning after he walked the leadoff hitter, giving up a single and a triple, with his appearance concluding after another leadoff walk in the second inning followed by a groundout.
