Nazar leads U.S. past Czechs at hockey worlds


In a thrilling match at the ice hockey world championship, Frank Nazar scored twice to lead the United States to a 5-2 victory over the Czech Republic, marking the Czechs’ first loss in the tournament. The win secured the U.S. second place in Group G, with Switzerland topping the group and the Czechs finishing third. Earlier, Austria advanced to the playoffs for the first time in 31 years by defeating Latvia 6-1, while Switzerland also claimed a victory over Kazakhstan, who was relegated.
