The White Sox have released Brandon Drury from his minor league deal as he has been on the injured list since May 8. Drury, who injured his wrist on a hit-by-pitch and has not played for Triple-A Charlotte since April 26, managed only 10 games with a batting line of .179/.319/.282 before his injury. Initially signed to a minor league contract before Spring Training, he showed promise with a .410 average in exhibition games but suffered a broken left thumb, leading to his release and subsequent re-signing once healthy.
