Bayer Leverkusen CEO hits back at recent Florian Wirtz rumours as Manchester City battle Bayern Munich
Fernando Carro, CEO of Bayer Leverkusen, expressed annoyance over recent rumours linking Florian Wirtz to Bayern Munich, asserting that no agreement exists despite interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid. Carro emphasized the club’s strong relationship with Wirtz and his family, noting that they remain in close contact, while also dismissing claims of a €150 million price tag as premature, stating that no offers have been received. Currently, Manchester City is expected to pursue Wirtz as a potential successor to Kevin De Bruyne.
