Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo had a memorable ejection during Wednesday’s game against the San Francisco Giants after arguing an obstruction call in the eighth inning. Despite initially disputing the overturned call, Lovullo acknowledged postgame that the umpires were correct in ruling that second baseman Jordan Lawlar obstructed Giants baserunner Christian Koss. He expressed respect for the umpires, admitting that in the heat of the moment, he misinterpreted the situation, stating, “They’re really good. Umpires are good. I stand corrected.”
