The Dallas Mavericks achieved one of the most unlikely wins in NBA Draft Lottery history by securing the No. 1 overall pick for the 2025 NBA Draft, despite entering with just a 1.8% chance and the 11th-best odds. With only 18 of 1,001 possible combinations, they won with the combination 10-14-11-7, making them the fourth team to win the lottery with less than 2% odds since the weighted system began in 1990. This victory ranks them just behind the Orlando Magic’s 1993 win at 1.52% and ties with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers, both at 1.7% odds.
