Initially diagnosed with a forearm strain, he is on the 60-day injured list and will need to be reinstated or placed on waivers in the offseason. Acquired as part of the Juan Soto deal from the Yankees, Brito had a challenging rookie season with a 4.28 ERA and is now at risk of being rostered out after surpassing two years of service but not qualifying for arbitration until 2026-27.
