Frederik Andersen to Start Game 1 Against Capitals
Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen will start Game 1 of the second-round series against the Washington Capitals, as confirmed by head coach Rod Brind’Amour. After missing Game 5 against the New Jersey Devils due to an injury sustained in a collision, Andersen, who has a .936 save percentage and a 1.59 goals-against average in the playoffs, is set to return, following Pyotr Kochetkov’s impressive performance in that game. Recently, Andersen signed a one-year contract extension worth $2.75 million with the Hurricanes.
