Jorbit Vivas made his MLB debut for the Yankees after being called up due to Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s injury, joining a competition for the third base position that included DJ LeMahieu and Oswaldo Cabrera. Although he didn’t record a hit, Vivas reached base twice with walks and scored during a win against the Tampa Bay Rays, showcasing his patience at the plate with quality at-bats. Manager Aaron Boone expressed confidence in Vivas, who had a strong Triple-A performance, and expects him to play frequently while Chisholm is sidelined.
