Cruz Azul dispatch Tigres to reach the CONCACAF Champions Cup Final
Cruz Azul secured a place in the CONCACAF Champions Cup Final with a 1-0 victory over Tigres UNAL in a thrilling semi-final match in Mexico City. The only goal came from a penalty by Sepúlveda in the 82nd minute, awarded after a VAR review for handball by Tigres’ Marcelo Flores. Despite a late push from Tigres for an equalizer, Cruz Azul’s win marks their first finals appearance since 2014, continuing the trend of Mexican teams competing for the title for the 21st consecutive year.
