In a historic recognition, the Philadelphia Phillies will honor outfielders Ed Delahanty, Billy Hamilton, and Sam Thompson, who all batted over .400 in the same season (1894), by adding their uniform insignias to the retired numbers display at Citizens Bank Park. These Hall of Fame players, who played from 1891-95, will have their insignias showcased alongside the retired numbers of other Phillies legends, including Richie Ashburn and Mike Schmidt. A ceremony is scheduled before a game against the Washington Nationals to commemorate this achievement.
