DAZN confirm end of Ligue 1 broadcasting contract
DAZN has announced the termination of its Ligue 1 broadcasting contract with the LFP, which was originally set to run until 2029 for an annual fee of €375m. To break the contract, DAZN will pay €100m plus two remaining payments totaling €140m, with the agreement to be presented to the LFP’s administrative council on May 2. The broadcaster indicated a potential partnership with the LFP’s planned channel, suggesting that if this occurs, the €100m fee could be waived.
