Stephon Castle of the San Antonio Spurs was named NBA Rookie of the Year, achieving this goal with 92 first-place votes, significantly ahead of runner-up Zaccharie Risacher and third-place Jaylen Wells. Castle, who scored over 1,190 points and led all rookies in steals, is the second consecutive Spurs player to win the award, following Victor Wembanyama. This marks only the second time in over 50 years that a franchise has had back-to-back Rookie of the Year winners, with the last being the Buffalo Braves in the 1970s.
