Outfielder Andrew Stevenson has signed a minor league contract with the Rays, marking his return to affiliated baseball after stints in NPB and the Mexican League. The 31-year-old made his MLB debut with the Nationals in 2017, notably scoring the tying run in the 2019 Wild Card Game, but spent 2022 at Triple-A and played only 25 MLB games in 2023. With the Rays facing injuries to multiple outfielders, Stevenson hopes to earn a major league call-up by performing well at Triple-A Durham.
