Royals top prospect Jac Caglianone is making his first appearance in right field for Double-A Northwest Arkansas, transitioning from first base, where he played after being drafted #6 overall last summer. The Royals’ outfield has struggled significantly, hitting .191/.252/.280, and they recently made changes to their lineup. Caglianone, who has had a strong start this season with a .300/.374/.529 line, may be a solution if he can prove himself defensively in the outfield, especially since GM JJ Picollo expressed disappointment over the lack of offseason upgrades.
