The Marlins have outrighted left-hander Patrick Monteverde to Triple-A Jacksonville after he cleared waivers, following his designation for assignment on Sunday. Monteverde, 27, made his MLB debut on Saturday, pitching 3 2/3 innings and allowing four earned runs against the Phillies. An eighth-round pick in 2021, he has a minor league ERA of 4.26, with a strikeout rate of 23.6% and a walk rate of 8.6%, and was previously ranked as the #24 prospect in the Marlins system.
