Washington Capitals defenseman Martin Fehervary will miss the entire postseason after undergoing knee surgery to repair a meniscus injury suffered on April 15 against the New York Islanders. The 25-year-old, who recorded 25 points in 81 games this season and led the team in shorthanded minutes, did not play in the Capitals’ Game 1 overtime win against the Montreal Canadiens. In his absence, Alexander Alexeyev joined the lineup as the team adjusted its defensive pairings for the playoffs.
