According to Michael Silver of The Athletic, the San Francisco 49ers and tight end George Kittle are significantly apart in negotiations for a contract extension as offseason workouts approach. Despite the team’s intention to finalize a long-term deal, complications may arise due to a pending mega-extension for quarterback Brock Purdy. Kittle, entering the final year of his contract with a base salary of $14.4 million, previously signed a five-year, $75 million extension in 2020 and had a productive 2024 season with 78 receptions for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns.
